Second day of testing at Valencia with 4 teams joining the Williams team.
The
session was run under wet conditions with Rubens Barrichello in the Honda RA106
setting the fastest time of the day ahead of Honda test driver Anthony Davidson
and Michael Schumacher.
Michael Schumacher completed the most number of laps with 87. He tested both
the F2004 V8 and the 248 F1 setting the faster time in the F2004.
MotoGP Champion Valentino Rossi was present. He went out late in the session
and spun on his installation lap.
There were several red flags during the session with several
caused by Rosberg who spun twice and stopped on the track the third time with a
suspected engine problem.
Kimi Raikkonnen stopped on the track although the team said that it was a
planned stop as there were conducting fuel system checks.
Weather conditions were wet with air temperature reaching 10
degrees while track temperature reached 13 degrees.
Testing continues tomorrow with Renault, Toyota and BMW Sauber
joining the test. Weather is expected to clear for the next two days.
