15 December: Day two testing report from Jerez Honda Racing F1 Team’s second day of testing in Jerez began this morning with damp conditions following an early rain shower. It was not quite wet enough to run on intermediate tyres which, combined with the cold conditions, meant that no real testing was completed until mid-morning. When he was able to go out, Adam Carroll completed 33 laps running through chassis set-up work and a short aero programme in chassis 078-08. Anthony Davidson worked through a tyre evaluation in chassis 078-07, completing 65 laps in the morning session. He then began the afternoon session working through a further tyre evaluation. Unfortunately Juan Pablo Montoya's (McLaren Mercedes) engine failed at turn 8 early in the session, spilling engine oil over the track, which affected subsequent lap times considerably. After the circuit cleaned up, Davidson ran through a tyre compound evaluation, completing a further 50 laps taking his total for the day to 115 laps. Carroll continued to work on his chassis set-up programme in 078-08 completing longer runs, completing 59 laps in the afternoon session, bringing his total for the day to 92 laps.
