The Team McLaren Mercedes team continued the second day of its planned
three day test programme at the Paul Ricard circuit today, with the focus again on developments for the forthcoming Monaco Grand
Prix.
Kimi was joined at the circuit today by Juan Pablo, with both drivers on the short configuration track (3.593 km).
Both
drivers’ programmes were concentrating on Michelin tyre testing for the forthcoming Monaco Grand Prix. Juan Pablo suffered an
engine failure in the morning, but was back out again for the afternoon session, which he completed without any problems.
Kimi’s
programme was interrupted just before lunchtime by a component failure, but he was back out on track by 3pm to complete the
remainder of the afternoon programme.
Kimi was the third fastest man on the circuit with a time of 1m05.130s, while Juan Pablo
was seventh fastest with a time of 1m05.441s.
Juan Pablo will be joined by Alex at the circuit tomorrow.
