28 April: Third and final day of testing this week for
Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, working again today at the Mugello circuit.
Once again, both race drivers, Michael Schumacher and
Rubens Barrichello were at the wheel of an F2005 at the Tuscan track. The day’s programme centred on a continuation of the tyre
and aerodynamics work begun on Tuesday by test drivers, Badoer and Gene. Schumacher covered 84 laps (6 on the short version of the
track,) setting a best time of 1’20”566, while Barrichello did 81 (7 “short,”) the quickest in 1’21”406.
