26 April: Formula 1 Testing at 3 tracks

Formula 1 teams return to testing this week at a number of tracks. 
At Mugello, Ferrari commenced testing with test drivers Luca Badoer and Marc Gene'. The pair concentrated on tyre and aerodynamic testing. Badoer was the fastest of the two setting a best time of 1:22.416. Testing continues tomorrow with Michael Schumacher and Rubens Barrichello.

At Silverstone, Williams BMW commenced testing with Mark Webber and Antonio Pizzonia. Weather conditions were cold and mainly wet.  The team concentrated on setup. Mark Webber set the fastest time with a 1:23.901. Testing continues tomorrow with Nico Rosberg joining the test.

At Fiorano, Sauber commenced testing with Felipe Massa. The team evaluated a number of front wings as well as working on setup for the upcoming races. Felipe Massa set a best time of 57.870. Testing continues tomorrow.

Renault, McLaren, Red Bull and Toyota are expected to start testing on Thursday at Jerez
