14 April: Paul Ricard Testing, Day 2 Giancarlo
Fisichella, R25-03, 120 laps Franck Montagny, R25-05, 151 laps
The Mild Seven Renault F1 Team today finished this
second day of testing at Paul Ricard.
This was also the final day of this week's testing: poor weather conditions forecast for
tomorrow pushed the team to cancel tomorrow's running, in order to save testing days.
The day was spent working on Michelin
tyre development ahead of Imola. Both drivers completed a large mileage, and found promising results.
Chief Test Engineer Christian
Silk commented: "After seeing the poor weather forecasts for tomorrow, we decided to bring our programme forward, and
cram in as much work as possible today in Paul Ricard. We focused on tyre development for Imola and completed the programme without
incident. We have conducted two very productive test sessions since Bahrain, and are feeling optimistic as the fourth race of the
season approaches."
