24 March: Paul Ricard Testing, Day 2 Franck Montagny,
R25-05, 71 laps, 271 km Heikki Kovalainen, R25-06, 101 laps, 386 km
The Mild Seven Renault F1 Team completed day two of
testing at Paul Ricard today.
After a rain shower during the morning made performance running difficult, work focused
primarily on accumulating mileage for reliability work, and some set-up development in better conditions during the afternoon.
Chief
Test Engineer Christian Silk commented: “The rain shower this morning interrupted our running, but we were nevertheless
able to conduct useful software development and reliability running in less than ideal conditions. Once the circuit had dried, both
drivers began set-up programmes and made good progress. Overall, we had another useful day.”
