March: Second day of testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro. Today, Rubens Barrichello got behind the wheel of
the F2005 for the first time. The Brazilian took to the track this morning at 9.15 and finished work having completed 95 laps,
eleven on the short course. The best time on the day was 1’21”435.
“Days like these always give you a nice feeling,”
commented Barrichello, “when you drive a new car for the first time, especially when it’s a Ferrari. First impressions count and
I am very happy with how it felt to drive the F2005. It is definitely quicker than the F2004 M and represents a step forward in
every area.”
The Scuderia continues testing tomorrow at Mugello. This time, it will be Michael Schumacher who makes his
debut at the wheel of the F2005.
