17 February: Fourth and final day of
testing this week for Scuderia Ferrari Marlboro, once again at the Catalunya Circuit on the outskirts of Barcelona.
Today saw
both nominated race drivers on track. Michael Schumacher carried out an endurance run, completing a total of 80 laps, the quickest
in a time of 1’14”913. Rubens Barrichello concentrated on finding the best set-up and on development of the Bridgestone tyres.
At the end of the day, the Brazilian driver had put together 111 laps, setting a best time of 1’14”644.
The Scuderia
resumes testing on Monday 21st February at Valencia, still with Barrichello and Schumacher on track.
