May 25 (GMM) Maurizio Arrivabene sent Kimi Raikkonen away from the Monaco grand prix with some "homework".
Finn Raikkonen is already on notice to keep up his rate of improvement in 2015 if he wants the Ferrari boss to take up the 2016 'option' in his contract. But amid swirling rumours Valtteri Bottas is in the frame, 35-year-old Raikkonen has homework to do, Arrivabene said after Monaco. While Sebastian Vettel finished on the podium again, Raikkonen was just sixth in Monaco -- having qualified sixth."Kimi is driving on the same level as Sebastian Vettel. He is really a very good racing driver," Arrivabene is quoted by Finland's Turun Sanomat newspaper."The problem is qualifying, when he cannot get up and running in the same way that he can in the races."So I give him homework -- to write a hundred times 'I must do better in qualifying'," Arrivabene joked.
