Jan.22 (GMM) Toro Rosso late on Friday announced that Jaime Alguersuari is staying with the team for 2010.
The official news comes after much speculation about the future of the teenage Spaniard, who made his grand prix debut following Sebastien Bourdais' mid-season ousting last year.
"Considering that he made his debut only halfway through 2009 with no prior testing, he did a good job, making steady progress throughout the second half of the year, with a mature approach considering he is still only 19," said team boss Franz Tost.
Toro Rosso had already said the Swiss youngster Sebastien Buemi would again drive with the Faenza based team next year.
