Jan.29 (GMM) Robert Kubica has vowed to put his rallying aspirations on hold for now in order to focus on his formula one career.
Late last year, the Pole contested the Sicilian Taormina-Messina rally in a Renault Clio R3, and last week his engine failed just 4km into the famous Monte Carlo Rally."Next week we start testing for formula one so I have no time (for rallying)," the 25-year-old told Motorsport News."I want to dedicate myself 100 per cent to that. Renault is coming through a difficult period and it will be a big challenge, so I am 100 per cent committed to that."Kubica also played down the likelihood of following Kimi Raikkonen into a full time rallying foray."I hope to stay in F1 for some years more because that will mean there are still some teams who want me to drive for them," he said.
