Feb.19 (GMM) David Richards says he is not surprised to hear about the problems being encountered by F1's confirmed new teams.
Although a solution to Campos' financial problems appears to have been found and is set to be announced, it has been reported this week that the death knell is tolling for USF1.Prodrive and Aston Martin chief Richards' application to join the 2010 grid was turned down, but he insists he had the right "infrastructure and finance" all in place."I am not too surprised at how difficult some of the teams are finding the challenge of both building the technical infrastructure and finding the finance to launch their F1 programmes," he is quoted as saying by thesun.co.uk.Unlike the hopeful outfit Stefan GP, Richards warned that he is not ready to step in at the last moment if some of the confirmed teams drop out."Now it is not practical for us to consider any involvement this year but we are certainly ready to consider any future opportunities," he said.
