Sep.21 (GMM) 24-year-old Spaniard Andy Soucek has secured a test with the British formula one team Williams as his prize for winning the re-launched Formula 2 championship.
Soucek, who made his F1 test debut with Toyota in 2006 as a prize for his Spanish F3 title, secured the FIA-sanctioned F2 crown at the Imola circuit last weekend."We've agreed with (series organiser) Jonathan Palmer to provide the championship winner the opportunity of a test drive in a Williams formula one car at the end of the season," Sir Frank Williams, whose Grove based company produces the F2 single seater, confirmed.Williams team co-owner Patrick Head added: "I hope the whole process will help get him (Soucek) to achieve his ambition to compete in the formula one world championship."
