Sep.13 (GMM) Stefano Domenicali on Sunday failed to quell the intense speculation about the futures of top F1 drivers Kimi Raikkonen and Fernando Alonso.
It is widely expected that Raikkonen, despite his 2010 contract, will make way at the Italian team for the arrival next year of Alonso. After the Monza race, a Finnish reporter told Domenicali that he wanted to hear the following words from the Ferrari team boss's mouth: 'I can confirm officially that Kimi will drive for Ferrari in 2010'.Domenicali responded: "I think that as we said, we don't want to discuss this now because I don't think it is correct."As you know, Kimi has a contract with us next year and this is what we can say now," he added.Domenicali was also asked about suggestions that Raikkonen's run of podium-getting form has something to do with the recent absence of his injured regular teammate Felipe Massa."I don't know. I hope not!" he answered."The Kimi that we see in this second half of the season is really very strong, very consistent, always on the podium, always there," Domenicali added."He has improved significantly, but that is the Kimi that we know very well since he was world champion with us two years ago."
