Oct.2 (GMM) Michael Schumacher has revealed he was involved in Ferrari's decision to sign Fernando Alonso.
Schumacher, 40, won five consecutive drivers' world championships with the Maranello based team until 2004, and after retiring from the cockpit in 2006 has been a Ferrari consultant."Fernando with Ferrari, that's something I like a lot," the German said on his website michael-schumacher.de. "I was involved from the very beginning in this decision, and I always liked the idea."I am sure Fernando will feel well with us, and I can only say: Welcome, Fernando!" Schumacher added.
