Oct.16 (GMM) Before afternoon practice kicked off at Interlagos, Fernando Alonso met in the paddock with his 2010 Ferrari teammate Felipe Massa.
The pair were photographed smiling and shaking hands, showing "how unfounded are the current rumours regarding bad feeling between them", the Italian team said.Their apparent rift centred about Brazilian Massa's comments about Alonso's alleged role in the crash-gate scandal, with Rubens Barrichello predicting it is the start of a fiery pairing."Alonso and Massa will be a Latin partnership and we will see a few more sparks than if they were two Finns," said the veteran.Sparks aside, there were a few sprinkles of rain during the second 90-minute practice session but it remained mostly dry, Alonso emerging with the fastest time in his Renault.Astonishingly, the slowest car - injured Massa's number 3 Ferrari that is currently occupied by Giancarlo Fisichella - was within a second of Alonso's pace, highlighting the competitiveness of the entire field.Fisichella had to walk back to the pits after stalling the F60 at the end of the track's long pit exit. The championship contenders were respectively third (Rubens Barrichello), fifth (Jenson Button) and seventh quickest (Sebastian Vettel).
