Oct.4 (GMM) Toyota will field just one car in Sunday's Japanese grand prix, after Timo Glock's entry was withdrawn due to injury.
The German, who has been suffering with flu and fever at Suzuka, crashed heavily in qualifying on Saturday and afterwards had a 5cm lower left leg wound stitched in a local hospital."We tried to do everything with physiotherapy," said the 27-year-old on Sunday. "The doctor worked until 2am to try to get fluid out of the leg."I could just walk a bit better, but at the end, this morning we had to realise it won't work, the cut is too big," Glock added.Toyota asked the FIA to allow Kamui Kobayashi to replace Glock, but the rules state that substitute drivers have to be nominated prior to Saturday's morning practice session.Glock added: "I am sure I will be back in Brazil."
