Oct.7 (GMM) After being banned for life by F1's governing body, Flavio Briatore's involvement in the world of football is now set to be considered.
In the wake of the crash-gate scandal, the Football League is set to discuss Briatore's ongoing co-ownership of the London club Queens Park Rangers during a board meeting on Thursday. It is believed the organisation may also ban the 59-year-old Italian, after requesting a dossier from the FIA with the details of Briatore's exclusion from any involvement in formally-sanctioned motor sport.Interestingly, the League is also considering whether the mysterious Qadbak investment group passes the "fit and proper" test for involvement with the sport.Qadbak's football involvement relates to its investment with the Notts County club. The consortium of unconfirmed Middle Eastern and European families has also bought the F1 team BMW-Sauber, although the FIA is not believed to be contemplating that transaction.
