May 9 (GMM) Kimi Raikkonen has admitted that he may not stay in formula one beyond the expiry of his 2010 contract.
The 2007 world champion told the BBC that that the FIA's controversial budget cap plans have given him new pause to consider his future."This is not F1 anymore. That's why there is a question mark. We'll see what happens," the Ferrari driver said.It should be noted that the 29-year-old is essentially towing his team's corporate line, with Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo openly furious about Max Mosley's plans.Raikkonen also played down speculation that his seat could be filled as early as next year, with Fernando Alonso believed to have already committed to the Maranello team."I'm happy where I am now, I have a contract for next year then it's more or less my decision what I want to do," he insisted."I will definitely finish my contract but I'm not in a hurry and we'll wait and see," Raikkonen added.On Saturday, Bernie Ecclestone played down the Ferrari versus FIA row, denying that Mosley is actively tempting the famous team off the grid."He's just a bit disappointed they are taking a silly attitude," the F1 chief executive said.
