Jun.5 (GMM) Sebastian Vettel's attempt to get back in the fight for the 2009 title went awry on Friday afternoon, when his Red Bull ground to a halt in the second Turkish practice session.
Initial reports from the paddock were of a driveshaft problem. "When we got the car back it turned out it was the engine," said the 21-year-old, who still ended the 90-minute session fifth, less than four tenths off the pace of the pacesetter Heikki Kovalainen. The timesheet looked distinctly topsy-turvy; also right on the pace were Fernando Alonso and Robert Kubica, while championship leader Jenson Button was a distant 12th.
