Aug.27 (GMM) Jarno Trulli on Thursday said it is not correct that Toyota has already decided to move on without him for the 2010 season.
The Italian is in his fifth full season with the Japanese team, but president John Howett said at Valencia that while Timo Glock is likely to stay next year, Trulli is not.Asked what he thought about Howett's comments, the 35-year-old said at Spa-Francorchamps: "At the moment I do not think that I need to respond to anything, as the team in general cannot make any decisions on anyone or anything."He is referring to the fact that because Toyota's F1 budget for 2010 is yet to be approved by the manufacturer's board until November, decisions about next year are not able to be taken."I do not know the exact quote from John, but he came back to me and apologised for what has been quoted," Trulli also said, according to F1's official website."I have some possible contacts in place with other teams, but for now it is way too early to talk about this."The so-called 'silly season' was definitely the hot topic in the Belgian paddock on Thursday, and Kimi Raikkonen poured fuel on speculation he is set to make way at Ferrari for Fernando Alonso."I have a (2010) contract," said the Finn, "but it's not me that makes the decision, so I don't think about it. Whatever happens, I am sure I can find something to do," he added.
