Aug.2 (GMM) Felipe Massa admits he is "lucky to be alive" but wants to return to the wheel of his formula one car.
In his first published interview since waking from a coma and recovering from serious head injuries, the 28-year-old Brazilian said he doesn't remember being struck on the helmet by a steel spring during Hungarian GP qualifying and crashing headlong into a barrier."I don't remember anything about the accident but I will race again," Massa is quoted as saying by Britain's News of the World newspaper."The accident was so unlucky but I know I'm lucky to be alive."When I woke up I didn't know why I was in hospital, so I was asking 'why am I here?'."I was pulling all the tubes and Eduardo, my brother, tried to stop me -- so we had a fight."Massa will check out of the AEK hospital in central Budapest and return to his native Brazil on Monday. On Saturday he was visited by Michael Schumacher and Jean Todt.
