Aug.30 (GMM) No drivers were penalised for the crashes on the first lap of Sunday's Belgian grand prix.
Two separate incidents that occurred at the Les Combes corner were investigated by stewards: one between Jenson Button and Romain Grosjean, and another after which both Lewis Hamilton and Jaime Alguersuari also both retired from the race."Quite simply Romain outbraked himself and hit my back wheel," Button claimed, although the rookie Grosjean reported afterwards that "Button took me out".The stewards settled the dispute by ruling that the incident "requires no further action".Reigning world champion Lewis Hamilton said he was "taken out" by Toro Rosso rookie Alguersuari at Les Combes, but the Spaniard explained that he hit the McLaren because he moved to avoid the carnage ahead.Again, the stewards decided to take no further action.
