Apr.16 (GMM) McLaren can expect a strong penalty from the FIA, because the British team made a "joke" of the governing body's authority, Jarno Trulli has suggested.
The Toyota driver was at the centre of the safety car incident in Australia last month, whereafter McLaren figures were caught lying to the stewards both in Melbourne and again in Malaysia.Italian Trulli, 34, had his Albert Park podium reinstated a week later at Sepang, after Lewis Hamilton was disqualified for having falsely told the stewards that he didn't let the Toyota pass him.McLaren has also been summoned to the World Motor Sport Council on April 29 on fraud charges, and could face serious sanctions."The FIA took such a strong decision because they felt that someone was making a joke of them and they want to show everyone that the FIA is just like a judge," Trulli is quoted as saying by the Mirror."Go in front of the judge and you have to be honest and tell the truth," he added.
