29 November: Formula 1 Testing - Barcelona - Day 2 Second
day of testing at Barcelona with Toyota, Williams, Red Bull Racing and Toro Rosso joining McLaren Mercedes and BMW Sauber. Toyota's TF106 debut was successful with Zonta setting 3rd fastest time while Jarno Trulli was 5th fastest. Jarno Trulli covered the most number of laps with 82. Williams ran an interim car fitted with a Cosworth V8 engine. Toro Rosso (Red Bull's second team) ran a Red Bull Racing RB1 car with a restricted V10. Under current regulations, teams aren't allowed to race with another team's car. Ex-Minardi driver Robert Doornbos was confirmed as a test driver for Red Bull Racing. BMW Sauber continue to have problems, this time a fuel leak forced the team to stop early. Testing continues tomorrow with Renault and Honda joining the test. 2006 Spanish Grand Prix Tickets Ferrari commence a test session at Valencia tomorrow.
