29 November: Formula 1 Testing - Barcelona - Day 2

Second day of testing at Barcelona with Toyota, Williams, Red Bull Racing and Toro Rosso joining McLaren Mercedes and BMW Sauber.
Christian Klien in the Red Bull Racing car running a restricted V10 engine set the fastest time of the day ahead of McLaren Test driver Alex Wurz and Toyota Test driver Ricardo Zonta.
Weather conditions were again sunny but cold with track temperatures reaching a maximum of 16 degrees Celsius.

Toyota's TF106 debut was successful with Zonta setting 3rd fastest time while Jarno Trulli was 5th fastest. Jarno Trulli covered the most number of laps with 82.

Williams ran an interim car fitted with a Cosworth V8 engine.
Both Toyota and Williams made the switch to Michelin tyres.

Toro Rosso (Red Bull's second team) ran a Red Bull Racing RB1 car with a restricted V10. Under current regulations, teams aren't allowed to race with another team's car.

Ex-Minardi driver Robert Doornbos was confirmed as a test driver for Red Bull Racing.

BMW Sauber continue to have problems, this time a fuel leak forced the team to stop early.

Testing continues tomorrow with Renault and Honda joining the test.
