The
BMW WilliamsF1 Team confirmed that Antonio Pizzonia would race in the last two Grands Prix of the 2005 season for the team alongside
Mark Webber.
Pizzonia, the team's long-standing reserve and test driver, has been nominated for the Japanese Grand Prix at
Suzuka and the Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai which take place on the 9th and 16th of October, respectively.
The Brazilian
driver, who competed in the last three Grands Prix for the team, said, "I am delighted to be racing for another two races,
especially after last weekend at my home race when I was the innocent victim of a start line accident. The two tracks in Japan and
China are real drivers' circuits and I hope to be able to validate this vote of confidence from the team."
The BMW
WilliamsF1 Team Principal, Frank Williams said, "On the strength of his races for the team thus far this season, we know he
will serve us well in the next two Grands Prix."
