13 May: Formula 1 Testing at 2 tracks Testing continued today at Fiorano and Paul Ricard. At Fiorano, Luca Badoer continued working on tyre development and preparation work for the upcoming Monaco Grand Prix. Testing continues tomorrow with Rubens Barrichello joining Luca Badoer. At Paul Ricard, 6 teams took part on the final day of testing. In the morning session the teams used the 1E sc track configuration in preparation for the Canadian Grand Prix however due to damage to a safety barrier as a result of a heavy crash by Alex Wurz, the teams were forced to switch to a shorter track configuration in the afternoon. Alex Wurz was taken to the medical centre for a checkup and was given the all clear. Pedro de la Rosa set the fastest time in the morning while Takuma Sato was fastest in the afternoon. Kovalainen covered the most number of laps in the morning with 88 while Sato covered the most number of laps in the afternoon with 131. Formula 1 Team notes below Fiorano Test Times
