6 April: Barcelona Test Report - Day 1 The first day of Lucky Strike B.A.R Honda's proposed three-day test at the Circuit de Catalunya in Barcelona got under way this morning with Jenson Button and Anthony Davidson driving chassis 007-01 and the new chassis 007-05 respectively. This is the first time that the team have tested at Barcelona this year after the scheduled test in January was moved to Valencia due to the poor condition of the re-surfaced Barcelona track. Both drivers concentrated on early set-up runs before Jenson ran through an aerodynamic evaluation completing a total of 59 laps in the morning session. Anthony concentrated on evaluating tyre options for the forthcoming races and completed a total of 73 laps. Jenson spent the afternoon session running through a chassis evaluation to bring his final lap tally for the day to 109 laps. Anthony continued his tyre programme and also ran his Honda engine to its full target mileage. Anthony completed a very impressive 143 laps today. Takuma will join the test programme tomorrow taking over for Anthony.
