2 April: Bahrain Grand Prix - Saturday Qualifying Report - Red Bull Racing Free Practice 3/4 Klien’s two morning sessions were trouble-free and went as planned. However, Coulthard was less happy with the balance of his car. Both drivers tried their cars in qualifying trim, in preparation for the afternoon session. Qualifying Having finished sixth and eighth in Malaysia a fortnight ago, Christian Klien was 14th man out on track to make his first qualifying run this afternoon, with David Coulthard 16th. The Austrian is 8th on the provisional grid, with the Scotsman 14th. David
Coulthard Chassis Number: 2 “I still was not too happy with the balance of the car and even before I started my flying lap, I ran a bit wide at the last corner. I also had a problem with my shift in that I was not getting the light to tell me when to change gear. So it wasn’t the best of sessions, but I am not going to let that bother me as there’s a long season ahead. We had four free practice sessions building up to this afternoon, so now we must try and improve in final qualifying.” Christian Klien Chassis: 1 “My lap was ok and I made no mistakes. I ran with the same set-up I had used this morning and the car performed as I expected and the balance was quite good. But the track seemed to have less grip than in the morning. Overall, I am pleased with this performance. Now we must wait and see what we can do tomorrow. It’s looking good!” Christian Horner, Sporting Director: 2005 Bahrain Grand Prix - Main Page Latest Formula 1 News from Red Bull Racing: Red Bull Racing announce driver line-up for 2007 (07/08/2006)Red Bull Racing RB2 debuts at Silverstone (15/12/2005) Red Bull confirms Christian Klien as their 2nd driver (06/12/2005) Robert Doornbos joins Red Bull Racing (29/11/2005) Red Bull Racing signs Adrian Newey (08/11/2005) Red Bull Announces Squadra Toro Rosso (15/10/2005) Brazil - Race (25/09/2005) Brazil - Qualifying (24/09/2005) Klien to drive for the rest of the season (13/09/2005) Belgium - Race (11/09/2005) More news from Red Bull Racing
