08 March: Formula 1 teams return to testing at Jerez
First day of testing this week at the Jerez Circuit. The Ferrari team was the only team present today with Marc Gene running the
F2004M concentrating on setup and tyre development. Gene completed 74 laps with a best time of 1:19.629.
The best time at Jerez this year so far was a 1:15.680 set by Jenson Button in the BAR 007
Gene continues testing tomorrow. Luca Badoer is expected to test the F2005 on this track on Thursday.
BAR, McLaren and Toyota are scheduled to start their testing tomorrow with Williams joining on Thursday.
