18 February: Barcelona Test - Day 3 Jordan Grand Prix moved today into the fourth and final day of the team’s test at Barcelona’s Circuit de Catalunya. Tiago Monteiro and Narain Karthikeyan’s schedule concentrated on race simulation work for reliability testing in the morning. At the end of the test day, Monteiro completed 120 laps and Karthikeyan 83. Today saw Nicky Pastorelli also test for the team, completing 29 laps. He is the 2004 Euro 3000 Champion and is one of the candidates Jordan Grand Prix has been evaluating as test drivers. Tiago Monteiro said "Today was very important because every kilometre of running is valuable and as always, I wanted to do more than as had done in the week so far. So I was really eager to go out and do a lot of laps. We had planned our first qualifying and race simulation which we were a little bit anxious about, but it went very well - I did 56 laps and two stops. It was great and physically I'm really happy as I had no problems at all. In the afternoon we tested various parts of the car and we improved the lap times a lot. We are getting slightly closer to the front, more or less three seconds from the fastest time, which is not bad considering how little running we have had. The whole week has been one of evolution. We have been through a lot, tried out a lot of things and learned a lot. I feel like I have integrated well with the people on the team and I'm really enjoying it. So far so good."
