Honda CB1100R (1982) in Red, White and Blue (1:12 scale) - Exactly 1500 hand made units were produced of the Honda CB 1100 R (type RD). According to a motor cycle magazine it was “the best drivable motor cycle in the upper class of motor cycles” and in comparison to its predecessor, it was further improved. The straight four cylinder with double overhead camshafts and 16 valves generated 115 HP (in Germany 100 HP) out of 1054 cm³ and was good for 200 km/h. The gas tank has a capacity of 26 litres and as a result extensive holiday legs were easily possible. In terms of handling characteristics, the CB 1100 R set new standards. The robust fork with a 37mm strong drive pipe, the multiple adjustable Showa-strut, the needle-bearing rear wheel rocker and the tapered-roller-bearing-supported headset were responsible for a smooth directional stability, even at speeds of above 200 km/h. In addition to that, its neutral handling gives the CB 1100 R good looks while chasing the curves.
