Mercedes Petronas W01 (Michael Schumacher 2010) in Grey (1:18 scale) - At the first race in Bahrain Michael Schumacher celebrated his comeback after 3 years and finished in sixth place. In the first four races he always finished behind his team-mate Rosberg, but in the fifth race in Spain he finished fourth and for the first time ahead of him. The German caught the public’s attention, when he was able to overtake Jenson and keep him in position for more than half of the race. At the Grand Prix of Monaco, only a week later, he overtook Alonso in the last corner of the race, after a safety car phase. As a result he received a drive through penalty, but since the race was over, he received a 20 second penalty. As a result he was moved back from the sixth to the twelfth spot and did not receive any points. Ironically his former rival Damon Hill was among the four stewards. Due to the confusion, if the overtaking was taking place during or after the safety car phase, the FIA announced a simplification in that matter. During the course of the season, Schumacher was able to achieve two further fourth seeds, but he was refused a podium result. He received further headlines during the race in Hungary, during a battle with his former team-mate Rubens Barrichello. He almost pushed the Brazilian into the pit wall, which resulted in penalty of ten positions for the next race. He lost the team duel to Rosberg with 72 to 242 points and finished the season in ninth seed.
