    McLaren F1 Le Mans (1/8) - A model of Lewis's ultimate car promised to him by Ron Dennis if he wins 3 World Drivers' Championships!The incredibly rare McLaren F1 is the fastest naturally aspirated production car in the world. Only 106 were built in total and just 5 of the McLaren F1 LM (LM for Le Mans) variant were produced in honour of the five McLaren F1 GTRs which finished the 1994 24hrs of Le Mans one of which took the overall win!This superb very detailed and accurate model is based on the original car designed by Gordon Murray and is the fastest accelerating incarnation of the F1 car. Once the holder of the 0-100-0 MPH record completed in 11.5 seconds all F1 LM's can be identified by their striking Papaya Orange paint scheme the late Bruce McLaren's race colour in memory of and in tribute to him.The components of the McLaren F1 LM model are hand cast in prototyping resin with some of the smaller parts machined from aluminium. Mounted on a carbon fibre base plate with a clear acrylic dust cover at 1:8 scale the car is around 60cm long.The model is accompanied by the book "Driving Ambition" written by Doug Nye in conjunction with Ron Dennis and Gordon Murray telling the whole story from conception to realisation of this iconic car.
